The Bride

The first painting off the table in 2010. It feels good to get the first one behind me. I did start it last year and just had it sitting against a wall for the longest time before I could summon the enthusiasm to pick it up again. Glad I allowed the break as it went into a completely different direction than first intended, and I prefer it this way. Highly personal piece which tends to be the case with my canvas work.
Took a terrible photo alas, she is a little crooked and I have no idea how to fix it other than reshoot, which I will as soon as this wretched heat wave is over with!
